Description

The Pico NVH Standard Diagnostics Kit accurately identifies the source of vehicle vibrations. By employing a “4th axis” alongside a 3-axis accelerometer, technicians can obtain baseline readings from the seat rail and then assess vibrations at various points on the vehicle, including the left front, right front, left rear, and right rear, to pinpoint where the vibrations are most pronounced.

This kit provides everything needed to utilise the PicoScope for thorough analysis of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) issues. Whether the customer perceives vibrations or noises, this kit helps discover the underlying causes, such as:

  • Cabin vibrations at speed
  • Engine vibrations across the entire rev range
  • Clutch judder or vibration
  • Transmission and bearing whine
  • Auxiliary drive noise
  • Brake judder
  • Steering vibrations

Applications

The Pico NVH Standard Diagnostics Kit is essential for diagnosing various vehicle issues related to noise and vibration. It enables technicians to gather and analyse data effectively during road tests, facilitating accurate identification and resolution of potential problems. Common applications include:

  • Identifying cabin vibrations at different speeds
  • Assessing engine performance throughout the rev range
  • Diagnosing clutch and brake-related vibrations
  • Analysing auxiliary drive noises
  • Evaluating steering vibrations and their causes

Compatibility

This kit is compatible with the PicoScope 4425 and 4423 Automotive oscilloscopes, which are sold separately. It connects via a BNC cable and uses the complimentary PicoDiagnostics NVH software, compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10 (not Windows RT). An activation code is necessary to enable the software, and this is non-transferable.
